"Thoroughly satisfying" - 1st review for Behind Locked Doors 3

Reviewer: Claudia Rhyes
Rating: 4 stars

Behind Locked Doors 3 is the third book in this series by Emma Hillman. "Thursday" a nickname her masters have given her is still in the harem. Her punishment for disobeying her masters has made her the black sheep of the bunch and has promised her no sexual activity. She decides she has had enough of the silent treatment and decides to give Scarey, one of her masters that she cares deeply for, anything he wants. The only problem is Scarey plans making her hold onto her end of the bargain.

I reviewed the second book and while it kept my interest it was just okay. This book however kept my interest, made the pages hotter than heck, and had a really great plot! I loved how Scarey and Thursday's relationship evolved (I won't go into details because that would ruin the story) but it was thoroughly satisfying. I really hope Miss Hillman continues on with this series as there are more characters I would like to read about (hint hint). I would suggest reading the first two books in the series because if you don't you will definitely be confused. Great story which makes me want to read more by this author!

... I'm happy to finally see a review for BLD3 so thanks Manic Readers and Claudia for this. I'm very intrigued by the comment about my adding more books to this series. I was actually of two minds with this. I do have an idea what to write next, but my question now is: which other characters would you like to read about? The other Masters? Which ones in particular?
After all, the BLD series is written in 1st person with Thursday as the heroine, so it would be a huge step to change the POV so radically! Mind you, a new heroine could be fun. Same setting, same Masters, new girl in the Harem? Yea or nay?

Ready, Set, Vote!

The new Smut Marathon round is here!

As we were asked to revisit a previous story, the poll isn't anonymous. I chose to extend In the Middle (you can read the new version here), and I had a lot of fun with it. I hope you'll enjoy it too!

The poll is now up on Alison's blog... Can you believe there are only four of us left? Kudos to us!

Another great review for One Last Vice

Reviewer: Yvette
Rating: 4 Siren Stones

Chloe’s boss is a typical rock star with the bad habits to go along with his attitude. Now he has enlisted Chloe to help him with his last vice that he is trying to eliminate, and his solution to the cravings and the bad moods he is going through to stop smoking is for Chloe be available for sex anytime things start to get rough for him. Chloe can’t believe James is trying to enlist her to help him, this is way too close for comfort for her because she has hidden feeling that no one knows of and they all involve her boss James, but things aren’t always what they seem when it comes to James and his outrageous behaviour and demands.

Emma Hillman has definitely provided us with a sexually charged story, with Chloe who you will feel as if she is a part of you and James who will remind you of the man in your life of which you sometimes love to hate. She shows you that things are not always as they seem and even the most aggravating situations can be the most romantic in the end. This is a truly great quick fun read that you will enjoy.

...  Very nice and insightful review. A review site to watch.

News: Marked, new Smut Marathon and current WIP

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!

Lots of things happening this week, and hopefully more good news to come my way, but in the are some links/news:

- Marked (Book One of The Recruits) is now available for pre-order at eXcessica. It's my first foray into the paranormal genre and is probably the hottest book I've ever written. No, really ;) It'll be followed by Hired, out in November, which is just as hot. What can I say? Those Immortals sure know how to party!

- Challenge 10 of Alison Tyler's Smut Marathon has started. My story, In the Middle, is up on the site, and you will be able to vote soon. Right now, Overtime by May Deva and Fucked to Death by Angell Brooks have also been added. Happy reading!

- I'm very excited with my current manuscript. It's another paranormal but a shifter one this time, and it features five hunky men/lions, one heroine who doesn't want to be ordered around, and some serious angst. Thanks to everyone who played the naming game on Twitter! I'm very happy with our choices :)

"Ms. Hillman proves again why she’s on my must have list" - 1st review for One Final Attempt!

Story: 8
Presentation: 9
Total: 17

Review: I loved the way Ms. Hillman told Simon and Reese’s story. My problem was is that I didn’t really like the characters. At least not at first. But keep reading because their story only gets better as you read.

Insecurities are beginning to negatively affect their relationship and Simon says a thoughtless comment during a fight which sets into motion a series of events that just might bring them back together.

The story is written in a way that really appealed to me. Deep insight into the characters, flashbacks that gave needed history without holding back the story from moving forward. Sex that you feel right along with the characters. On these points, Ms. Hillman proves again why she’s on my must have list.

... There is a good reason why I always enjoy Seriously Reviewed's thoughts. It's amazing how well they get me and what I'm trying to say in my books. I love that. As always, a big thank you!
