Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you!
Happy release day to me!

In two hours I'll be leaving work and hopefully getting on a train to my in-laws. Hubby and kid are already on their way with the puppy (and she hates being in the car so I'm kinda happy I'm working this morning and won't have to clean up afterwards :).

Have a wonderful holiday break with your family and friends... And I'll be back in the new year, with more books (Behind Locked Doors 3 comes out on 7 January) and more contests!

May all your wishes come true in 2011...

Behind Locked Doors 3: Less waiting this time around!

I'm happy to announce that Behind Locked Doors - Book Three will now be published on 7 January!

It should be available on preorder soon at eXcessica, but until then here's a lil preview for y'all...

Blurb:

When Thursday comes up with a plan to beat the new girl at her own game, she doesn’t realize nothing will ever be the same.
Oh, it works at first. She spends an amazing weekend with Scary, but what starts as a fun way to get her privileges back ends all too soon. When the other Masters point out that he’s keeping her to himself, that he needs to start following his own rules, Scary does something not a single one of them would have ever expected.
It spins everything out of control, and Thursday is left clinging for her sanity…and his love.

Excerpt:

It started the next morning as I came down from my room. I knew it was early, too early for anyone else but him. He was spending too much time in the Harem these days, as if he didn’t want to go home. Or couldn’t. I wasn’t too sure which it was, but today it suited my purpose. Spotting him sitting at a table with a coffee cup in hand, I crossed the lounge and automatically knelt in front of him.
Debating inwardly whether to clasp my hands behind my back, I missed his look of wonder. I couldn’t miss his low growl as he asked, “What do you want, Thursday?”
I looked up, our gazes locking together for the first time in what felt like forever. “I want to please you. Master.”
His eyebrows rose. “You do?”
I nodded, feeling my cheeks redden at his suddenly pensive gaze. “Yes, Master.”
“What are you offering?”
I nearly gasped when I realized he’d seen right through my attempt. And yet, he wasn’t moving. I checked out the stretch of denim in front of me and was awarded by the brilliant sight of one very hard cock pushing against the thick material. Yes! My plan was working! I looked back up and said, my voice hesitant, “Anything, Master.”
“Anything?” he repeated, almost daring me to deny my offer.
“Anything you want, Master.”
He stared down at me for a second or two, and then he started laughing. I saw red. I’d put my heart and pride on the line, and the damn man thought it was funny! I grabbed the table and heaved myself upright, turning around with my gaze already on the staircase. I needed to flee, run back to my room and hide under the covers. I should have known it wouldn’t be that easy!
“Don’t.” Fingers grabbed my right hand, effectively stopping my escape. His hard chest cupped my back for a fleeting moment before he turned me around. Harsh fingers palmed my chin as he forced my head up. “Why are you doing this, Thursday?”
I licked my lips as I tried to buy myself some time. “Because I, huh, want to?”
“Want to what?”
Shit! “Mmm, I want to please you, Master, of course.”
He rolled his eyes. “Try again, Thursday. Since when are you so pliant? You told me I could do anything to you.”
“Yes, Master.”
His eyes drilled into mine, as if he was trying to determine what was going on inside my head. Good luck with that one! “Do you really mean that?”
“Yes, Master.” The word rolled off my lips, just like I’d heard Friday do. She treated them all equally, calling them Masters or Sirs each time she spoke up. Or shouted her climax. Fake climax, that is. I could do that too, damn it! I told myself once again, buoying my convictions as best I could.
“Anything I want?”
“Yes, Master.”
“Okay then,” he paused then added, “prove it.”

One Final Attempt is the 3rd story in the Curve Happy series. It'll be released @ eXcessica on 24 December but it's already available for preorder here.

* * * *

Blurb

Simon said some really hurtful things to his wife, and now she won’t forgive him. She’s even asking for a divorce. A divorce! She won’t talk to him, so he can’t even apologize properly. So, what’s a husband to do?

Reese wakes up the next day to find herself handcuffed to the bed. She has no choice but to listen to him.

Intent on proving to her that he really does love her and her curves, Simon pulls out all the stops. But will it be enough to capture his wife’s heart yet again?

* * * *

Here's a little excerpt for you... I love this book and can't wait for you guys to read it!

Her eyes fluttered open, catching a glimpse of the room she still wasn’t accustomed to. She missed her bed and her old room, she thought as she turned to her side only to be stopped short. “What?” She leaned her head back and gasped when she saw her hands tied to the headboard. Fear spiked inside her, her heartbeat accelerating as she realized she was cuffed to the bed.
“Shhh.” A male voice rang, making her fingers clench around one other. “It’s just me.”
Her head whipped around. “Si?”
“Hey, baby.”
Her eyes flashed when she saw him sitting down in the armchair across the room. “What have you done? Why am I tied up?”
“We need to talk, and you keep ignoring me.”
“So, you thought handcuffing me to the bed was the way to go?” Her voice rose.
He shrugged. “Yup. That way, you can’t run away.”
Un-freaking-believable. “This isn’t funny, Simon. Untie me!”
“No.” He crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back against the soft leather, his gaze moving over her partially covered form. “I like you like that.”
“Oh, so now you like me?”
His eyes closed as if he was in pain. When he opened them again, regret filled his face. “Reese, I never… I never wanted to hurt you. You have to believe me. I l-”
She cut him off, “I don’t care! You’re an adult, Simon. You could have stopped yourself, but you didn’t. You obviously meant what you said. End of the discussion. Now, get those cuffs off!”
“No.” He was already shaking his head. “That’d be too easy. I know you think I’ve been lying to you all these years, but baby I haven’t. I love you, don’t you see?” She snorted but he ignored it. “I do. I guess now’s the time to remind you.”

'Rock with Me' wins the 7th Smut Marathon Challenge!

'Rock with Me' ended up with 21 votes (amazing!) so thank you to everyone who voted. I wasn't even in the country when the results were announced... What a nice welcome back!

Now, on to the next challenge. We're back to 250 words, and I'm hoping I remember how to condense. I already know what I want to write about, which should make things easier (she says!).

'One Last Vice' gets 17.5/20 from Seriously Reviewed!

Story: 8.5
Presentation: 9
Total: 17.5

Review: I have to admit, in the beginning I wasn’t feeling the love for James. I found him indulgent and rude. I wanted to smack him. Oh wait I’m reading Emma and yep, her characters will pull real emotions while you’re reading her stories. Chloe surprised me. I think we’ve all been in a place where we do things we normally wouldn’t for love. She’s been in love with James and while he’s asking her for services above and beyond her job description, he’s finally wanting her in the way she’s wanted him. But you also feel her hesitation. To want to give but yet knowing the cost will be too high. About the time I was cheering her for getting strong enough to know she couldn’t give James more, James went off and proved he’s not such a schmuck.

I found the dichotomy in their personalities refreshing. I felt the emotional ups and downs right along with both James and Chloe. Another solid story from Ms. Hillman who has become one of my favorite authors.

... It's official, I love Seriously Reviewed! I found myself grinning when I noticed I'd been upgraded from Ms Hillman to Emma. I don't know the reviewer's name but thank you. I'm very glad I'm becoming one of your favorite authors!

"A delightfully engrossing story" - Whipped Cream reviews Someone Like You

So, here I was, happily reading through the different blog posts on my Google Reader when I saw a picture and went, "Hold on a second. That's my book!" And what a nice surprise it was too!

Thanks to Violet over at Whipped Cream Reviews for the following:

Rating: 4 cherries
Reviewed by Violet

How would you feel if you went to meet your boyfriend’s best friend and his wife and she could be your twin? What if he called you by her name?

This is exactly what happens to Leah in Someone Like You. Leah, a curvaceous college student and waitress, has worshipped ex pro football player Nick Hamilton for years. She’s shocked that he’s interested in her, and not some stick thin model. Nick’s initially attracted to Leah because she looks like his best friend’s wife who he’s been in love with since they shared a ménage-a-trois. Yet he finds something special in Leah he didn’t expect.

I bonded with both Leah and Nick from the start. Leah is more like us than any of us would like to admit. She’s insecure about her weight and thus her body. She’s always dieting and doesn’t believe her fantasy could love her. Nick isn’t a perfect Adonis. He makes mistakes that make him even more loveable. But more importantly, Nick loved Leah just for who she was. He showed her why he loved her and that made Leah love herself.

The plot wasn’t complex, but I was glued to the pages. Ms. Hillman’s guileless voice and superb pacing combined to create a sweet, captivating read. The love scenes were beautiful, but most cut off before actual consummation.

This was the first book I read by Ms. Hillman. Although this was the third book in a series, I followed it well. I think the book might have benefited from a quick prologue that reviewed pertinent information from previous books. My main source of confusion actually came from the fact that this was the third novel in the Ex-Footballer series. In the US we don’t refer to pro-football players as footballers so I thought Ms. Hillman was talking about soccer (what everyone else besides the US calls football). Even with this inconsistency, I enjoyed Someone Like You so much that I will be going back and reading the two previous novels.

If you’re looking for a delightfully engrossing story, Someone Like You is not to be missed.

... "Guileless voice and superb pacing" I like that!
Although I'm going to contact my crit partners asap. Why did no one ever tell me you didn't say ex-footballers? I guess it's a good thing everyone knows I'm not American!

Good news

I woke up this morning to two new contracts waiting for me in my mailbox:

- Behind Locked Doors - Book Three will be published by eXcessica on 30 September 2011. Thanks to those of you who asked me for more. I have a feeling you're going to like this one!
I'll be doing the cover art as soon as I have some time and will premiere it here.

- The Sum of All, co-authored with Kiki Howell, will be published by eXcessica on 23 September 2011. It's a paranormal erotic romance with ménage elements...and it's damn hot!

Here's the blurb: When a spell goes wrong and two witches find themselves stuck in a house with a plethora of paranormal creatures, tension rises and sparks ignite. A gauntlet is thrown down, a contest is born, rules are drawn up, and soon, the two women are living out the fantasies they’d never thought to have.

Who will be the best? Will jealousy prevail? Or, will they get their hearts snared by one or two of those Alpha males?

Oh, and I'm very proud of my cover art, so here it is too:

Isn't it great?

- Other piece of good news: It's official! I'll be taking part in RT's Book Expo in April 2011 in Los Angeles. I love the Convention and I just know it's going to be tons of fun. And of course, it'll be my first signing so that's bound to be something!

How's that for a Monday morning?!

The 1st review is in for Someone Like You!

Someone Like You has everything you expect from an Emma Hillman story. Her characters are flawed, yet find that inner strength to overcome their vulnerabilities. Nick is scrumptious. I loved him in Yes, No Maybe…and Someone Like You reminded me why. But he’s also an ass. Leah is a realist. She believes what she has to offer isn’t good enough for someone like Nick. But there is also something endearing about her. The story will pull at your heart strings, make you want to slap Nick…then turn around and slap Leah. But in the end, they both had tortured themselves enough. Nick has to leave his past and Leah has to make a leap of faith for a future. Love never comes easy and Ms. Hillman brilliantly writes stories that show us characters that aren’t always easy to love, but when the last page is turned, they leave you wanting for more.

... What's funny is that I had said people would want to hit Nick in this story! I just love SR's reviews. They always get me and my books. So damn nice when that happens.

Introducing our newest family member...

Daisy!

She will be 2mo on Friday and is a cross Bernese Mountain Dog/Collie. She is the cutest dog on earth, as these pics will attest. So far, she's been very sweet and obedient. Let's cross our fingers she stays that way!

On repeat...

Today, I'd like to share the songs I've been listening to for the past week. They've helped me write that much faster on Behind Locked Doors - Book Three, so a big yeah for musical inspirations!

Every time he sings "From side to side", I go left and right in my seat. Even on the train. Yep, I probably look weird. Ah well!.

- TI feat. Keri Hilson, Got Your Back

I dare you to try not singing along to this song.

- Backstreet Boys, Rebel

It's a B-side so there's no video, but I love hearing new music from my Boys.

- The Saturdays, Higher

I love me some good pop, and The Sats do deliver each time so kudos to them. Cute video too!

- Warren G feat. Nate Dogg, Regulate

Old Skool Rap. I was in love with this song in high school. I just put it back on my iPod and it's still so good. Happy memories!

... So, what have you been listening to this week?

Opinions needed!

I need your help.

I've been toying around with a couple different ideas and I thought I'd ask your thoughts on them. Here goes:

1. I'm considering writing another book with Nick and Leah from Someone Like You. If you've read it, what do you think? Would you like another story with that couple? It would be more erotic (SLY is more a romance, I think), so it would be a change of pace and would also probably take place quite a few years later.

Oh, I've just had the most brilliant idea. What about a book with Nick and Leah, but also Kevin and Mia? Ye gods. You so don't want to know the plot that just popped into my head. Or maybe you do?!

2. If you follow me on Twitter (@droptheglasses), you'll have noticed I'm currently working on Behind Locked Doors - Book Three. It's going very well and I've written 10K in two days (yeah for me getting my groove back!), so I was wondering if you'd be interested in reading the first scene with Scary. Once I've finished the story, it probably won't hit your (virtual) shelves until October 2011. One year to wait!

Sooo... You tell me :)

Smut Marathon - Round 6

Flash Fuck Me

I can be found at Alison Tyler's new blog today, with my short-short story In the Train.

I actually wrote it during my commute. I had the idea, typed it on my BlackBerry, then emailed it to myself so I wouldn't lose it. It worked!

PS: Love that pic by Riendo too.

NOR reviews One Last Vice

Short but nice review for One Last Vice over at Night Owl Reviews:

4.25/5 - Reviewed by: Ursshebear

"One Last Vice," by Emma Hillman is a cute short story. Imagine falling in love with an employee and that employee not noticing your flirtations or attempts at being more than just friends. Though James' attempts at getting her attention are a bit much and Chloe's reaction a bit hokey, I found the story still delightful to read. I will definitely look for other stories written by Emma because I enjoyed her writing style.

... While I found it funny that delightful and hokey could be in the same sentence, it's still a cute review. And 4.25 is very nice, thank you!
Now, if only someone would review Someone Like You so I could be sure people liked it...

Fan mail

I received a couple emails from self-proclaimed fans this past month, weirdly enough both enquiring about the Behind Locked Doors Series. I say weirdly enough because I thought those were my least-liked books. Apparently, what do I know?!

I loved receiving those emails, and it's made me think of the times I emailed my favorite authors and went crazy when they responded. To me. Personally. It felt as if, for a single moment, we'd connected. That was a rush, believe you me.

I've been known to do this with authors whose books I really admired. From Jenna Black for The Devil Inside (I had to tell her I needed more Adam in my life) to my favorite author, Kristan Higgins (nearly for every book, just because she rocks my world).

I also contacted another erotica author just to tell her thank you for writing Rubenesque books. I don't see her as a competitor, I see her as someone who's writing the books I want to read. And we need more of these books, damn it!

All this to say, if you loved a book, be it an ebook from a less-known author or a NY Times Bestseller, take the time to write them a short email. These days, you can usually find their email addresses on their personal website or blog. Or try Twitter. Or Facebook. It'll make them very happy, and you too when you receive an email from them.

Spread the love around, I say...

Who wants to review Someone Like You?

Because I can't wait to hear readers' opinions on this final book in the series, I'll happily give away an e-copy of the book to whomever promises to write a review of Someone Like You (eg. on Amazon, ARe, Goodreads, etc.).

Just email me at my usual address. Oh, and don't worry, I won't make you give it 5 stars! (But I still sure hope you'll like it :)

Someone Like You's Release Day - 7!

Someone Like You (aka Nick's story) will be released in exactly one week and because I'm very excited, I thought I'd give you an excluse preview. Here's the prologue... I really hope you enjoy it!

***

“Mia?”

She blinked down at him, her pen poised over her notepad. “No, actually it’s Leah.” She tapped a finger over the nametag carelessly pinned over her chest, and asked for the second time, “What can I get you?”

Nick ‘Apollo’ Hamilton groaned when he realized his mistake. “Sorry, I thought you were somebody else. Uh, coffee, black, no sugar.”

“Sure. Anything else?”

He shook his head and watched her leave, noting the way her ass curved underneath her uniform. For one second there, he’d really thought it was Mia come to visit him. No, even better, to tell him she’d left Kevin, that she loved him and no one else. That she wanted to... “Shit.” He nearly slapped himself in an effort to clear his head. He had to stop thinking about her, damn it! She was happy with her husband and they were just friends. And even if they’d had sex together, even if he’d made her come, had felt her contract around his pounding length, nothing else would ever happen.

His cock rose in his shorts at the memories assailing his mind. He contemplated returning home and jerking off while once more reliving that amazing night spent with his best friend and his wife. But fuck, he was tired of his own hand! Except he’d tried screwing some nameless girls, and he hadn’t managed to get it up. It was unbelievable that him, Apollo Hamilton, former playboy, was stuck in this situation.

His gaze focused once again on the waitress: she was leaning over the counter, obviously riffling around trying to find something. Her breasts were pushed together, all the men’s eyes focused on the way they jiggled with each of her movements. And yet, he looked at her face, she appeared oblivious. She finally found what she was looking for–a napkin–and walked back towards him.

He couldn’t help it, he looked her up and down. Her features were eerily similar to Mia’s, too similar. Oh, he could see her hair wasn’t the same color, her eyes were gray instead of green but her body shape was the same. She was curvy everywhere, her hips begging to be palmed. Hell. His eyes widened when he felt his dick twitch. She was turning him on?

“Here you go,” Leah said as she deposited a cup full of steamy coffee in front of him. “Let me know if you’d like a refill.”

He nodded, unable to speak. He watched her ass jiggle away and took a deep breath. Something was wrong with him. There was just no other explanation.

Guess...

...which story is mine and vote for it!

If you can prove you found the correct one by emailing me a screen cap at droptheglasses (at) hotmail (dot) com, I'll send you chocolates.
And believe me when I say they're yummy.

Good luck!

What do you think?

I've decided that my novella, I Am Nobody's, should come out as a stand-alone book (it's in eXcessica's Triad anthology). Selena nicely agreed and it should be published in July 2011.
So now, I'm toying with blurbs, excerpts and cover arts.

Here's my first take on the cover, what do you think?

One Last Vice is out!

And has been since Friday.

It already has some ratings on Bookstrand (very cool) and ARe, so I know for sure people aren't hating it. Which is all I needed to know. Thanks!

By the way, the next book is the Curve Happy series, One Final Attempt, will be published at the very end of the year (last Friday in December).

I love it when people like me...

Or my first ever review on MyBookstoreAndMore (why do they have to scrap it? why?!), from Bianca on Man Frame:

The phrase "check out the view" is an understatement in the book! These two are burning holes in the screen of their windows before they even hit the sheets! Throw is a sexy repair man/bestfriend and you've got every average womans' wet dream honey! read and read again!

Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

... So cute!

And another review for A Thin Line (Woot!)

My first ever review from Two Lips Reviews:

Reviewer: Kiki
Rating: 4.5 Kisses

Kate never dreamed that a 3:00 a.m. trip to her apartment building laundry room would awaken the bad girl in her. She has a job interview in the morning and has remembered that she has nothing to wear. Kate gathers a few things and heads downstairs. It is there that she meets Jace. By accident, the door locks behind him as he enters the room and the lights go out. They are stuck until someone comes along and lets them out in the morning. Jace and Kate start talking and getting to know one another as a way to pass the time. As the night progresses, the room gets terribly chilly and they inch closer and closer to each other in an attempt to stay warm. Then, the inevitable happens. Kate, giving into Jace’s suggestion for keeping warm, has a night of mind-blowing sex with him in dark.

For the next couple of months, Jace and Kate have a strictly sexual relationship and she settles for this. Eventually, she realizes that she is walking a thin line between having pride and dignity for herself, and being used as someone’s plaything and doormat. She knows she deserves something better. To make matters worse, Jace already has a girlfriend, who is willowy thin and comes from a very wealthy and powerful family. In a gutsy move, she decides to cut Jace off and be better to herself. She is determined to move on. Too bad Jace is finding it very hard to do the same.

I found A Thin Line to be extremely sexy and entertaining. The love scenes are so well-written that they leave you breathless. Aside from the great physical moments, you can’t help but be taken in by the story that is unfurling before you. There is real substance here. Ms. Hillman does an excellent job in showing the transformation of Kate from a not-so-thin woman with a very unhealthy self-image, into someone who believes she is worth more and deserves better. I loved this book and would recommend it to anyone who is in the mood for a sexy, love story. You should be warned though, that you will be walking a thin line between steamy and down-right combustible.

... Did you see that? I leave people breathless!

Another review for A Thin Line

Thanks to the always lovely people at Seriously Reviewed.

Blurb: Kate finds herself locked up in her apartment building’s laundry room. It’s the middle of the night and there’s a man with her. Which would be the great start of a horror movie, except this is real and thankfully the man isn’t that bad. Actually, he’s quite nice. Oh, and hot. He’s a neighbor she’s seen a few times, the playboy with the golden looks. And as they find themselves sitting increasingly closer in an effort not to freeze to death, hands bump into parts of her body that haven’t been touched in years.

It could have stopped at that: one night of pleasure, albeit in a weird location. Except it doesn’t. Even though she knows Jace has another girlfriend, she still opens her door to him every night. He is addictive. And sometimes, he’s even nice. But what happens when the drama finally takes its toll and she bars her door to him?

Review: Ms. Hillman writes sexy prose with humor and heat. Flawed characters that find themselves in naughty situations but make the best of the situation and for me, as I read I’m as turned on as the characters. Well, A Thin Line is no exception. The opening pages were smokin’. I loved Kate and thought Jace sounded like a dream in the dark.

But then Jace becomes a real prick and I wasn’t sure I was going to enjoy the rest of the story. Kate tries to be strong and withstand his charms, but he keeps worming his way back into her bed.

Eventually she decides she won’t be used for sex anymore…and that’s when there began to be glimpses of chivalry in Jace. About the time I would have given up on him, he begins to realize what he’ll lose if he loses Kate. But there is risk in having the woman he wants. He might have to give up everything he’s worked hard to build in his career. Or maybe having the woman he loves will give him the confidence to succeed.

Ms. Hillman has a style and flavor to her writing that really appeals to me. The words slip off the page and sink right into my psyche. I feel her story as I read and that’s a gift she brings to her work. I’m a fan and await the next titillating tale.

... Such a lovely review. I love, love it.

Next book will be One Last Vice, out very soon. As in next week, I think. Does it show I'm on holidays and have no idea what date it is?

I'm here (but not really)

I'm back! Well, actually not really. I'm in France so I have access to my emails again (bless the Internet!) but I still have a week of vacation. Did you miss me?!

While I was gone, Challenge #4 of Alison Tyler's Smut Marathon went up and I'm happy to say I wasn't voted off! You can read my story Oopsie here.

The next challenge is about Mystery. As in noir, who-dunnit. I do comedy, I don't do noir! Argh! So, I seriously need to think about that one as right now, I have no idea. So not me that!

Ouch & Bye for now!

I was going to post links today, both for It Started With A Kiss and A Thin Line, but I fell down on Monday evening, hit my tailbone and now I can barely sit. All this to say that as I'm typing this, I'm also in pain (yeah for Nurofen Plus!) sooo... to cut this short, thank you for everyone who's buying my books.
A Thin Line seems to be doing very well and I love that people are getting Jace.

As for ISWAK, I don't know if people are gonna buy it but if you do, have fun! It's a romance story with a big twist and there's a lot of angst (and revenge...oooh!). I know some of you have already read it but feel free to buy it and read it again (I did change a few things!).

I'll be away on holidays for the next three weeks so I probably won't post on here. I'll try to check Twitter and my email though, so feel free to drop me a line.

Holidays, here I come!

Woohoo!! (Or when Emma almost falls out of her chair...)

August releases and stuff

I've just been told that It Started With A Kiss will be released this coming Monday, 2 August! It's my first romance (ie. not erotica or erotic romance) and it's going to be interesting to see if it sells. I guess it's also not a straightforward romance, but then when do I ever write anything straightforward? It's got a huge twist and I do love the story, so I hope everyone does too! I'll post links as soon as I have them.

I also noticed that One Last Vice is up on eXcessica as an August release. It'll be published on Friday 27!

Oh, and today is the last day to vote in the 3rd Smut Marathon Contest. The authors remained anonymous like last time and I can definitely say for sure I won't win (well, not votes-wise anyway!). I wanted to try something different this time around, and no one was able to guess which story I'd written. Ah!
I didn't want to write something expected (the theme being Stilettos, I imagined stories with only wearing those in bed or BDSM-related); instead I went against the grain. It was a lot of fun writing the story, but now I can't wait to know the next challenge!

First review for A Thin Line!

A big thank you to BookWenches for the great review. I love the comments on Jace, as that's exactly how I wanted him to be (hence the title - A Thin Line...Between Love and Hate).

When the lights go out, and the door unexpectedly shuts, Kate can't believe that she and her hunky neighbor are locked in the laundry room in the middle of the night with no one available to come to their rescue. As the temperature drops in the room, the body temperatures rise. Kate and Jace find some very interesting ways to keep warm.

When the laundry room encounter is over, Jace keeps coming by her apartment and reliving the "fun." Unfortunately, Kate realizes that she is just a booty call when she sees Jace with his gorgeous girlfriend; she understands why Jace only shows up in the middle of the night after being with the woman he isn't ashamed to be seen with. Kate knows she much end it, but her body is at odds with her brain of that.

***

A Thin Line is an all around entertaining story. I enjoyed this quick-paced, racy read. It contains many of the things that always draw my attention: conflict, misunderstanding, a heroine that isn't the perfect model type, and red-hot sex. Add in a great story, and this book will keep a smile on your face.

Kate is a wonderful character. I found her to be extremely realistic. She has flaws and she knows them. I especially like how she has the right intentions in dealing with Jace and yet can't seem to follow through because of her feelings for him. That is real life!

Jace is one of those characters that you will both love and hate. I wanted to hate him but found that I just couldn't. He is wrong on so many levels, but it is easy to fall into his charm just like Kate does. I truly enjoyed him.

A Thin Line is a quick, easy, and entertaining book that will appeal to many readers. Miss Hillman adds spice and love to a great story and comes out on top. I can't wait to read more of her work.

A Thin Line is out!

Out, out, out!

And I'm very happy because it's already a Best Seller over at All Romance eBooks. In 2 days! And I did zero promo!
I saw the star yesterday and I beamed at my screen. What a lovely, lovely feeling.
I also noticed it already had a rating (5/5!) over at Bookstrand so pretty cool for its first weekend.

I can't wait for reviews now. Bring it on!

A lil promo

Today is released Triad, eXcessica's in-house threesomes anthology. My first anthology for that publisher for that matter. It includes my story I Am Nobody's, amongst works by Selena Kitt (also the editor), Willsin Rowe and plenty of others.

It's available in eBook and paperback (Woot! I'm getting a copy to add to my bookshelf) from eXcessica, and will also be on Fictionwise, ARe, Amazon, etc. soon.

The first person to read the anthology and review (inc. my story!) will get a prize. Happy reading!

3rd!

3rd! I'm 3rd with my story 'Guess'. Not bad as there are only 2 votes separating me from the top spot (respectively, 26 for the 1st, 25 for the 2nd, and 24 for me!). I'm already thinking of the next challenge...and it's a doozy!

I also received some great great news that I can't share right now, but I'm beyond excited!

I've been interviewed!

Today’s installment of the Dirtyville/Kinkyville interview series features Emma Hillman, author of Only on Sunday in the Dirtyville collection. She talks about her upcoming series Curve Happy, writing heroines and the future of her Ex-Footballers series.

Woot! It was a very interesting interview with questions I'd never answered before. Please visit Lux's blog and comment. Ta!

Current manuscript: Three

I'm working on a funny threesome story (working title: Three) and I'm loving it so much I'm going to share an excerpt with you.

...

Here's the start of Chapter One:

“Seriously, guys, this is bordering on stalkerish.” I think about it, then add, “Actually, it’s downright stalkerish.”

“Is stalkerish even a word?” Gabe turns to his partner-in-crime. “What do you think, Trey?”

“I don’t think so.”

“It should be! Especially when you two are concerned.” I cross my hands over my chest and lean against my front door. “What are you doing here?”

“We wanted to know if you’d liked your present.” Gabe smiles at me winningly.

“Huh.” I sigh and rub my forehead. “About that… Did you really think it was a good idea?”

“What do you mean?”

“You sent me lingerie! I don’t even know you!”

“Well, maybe not, but we can work on that.” Another bright, bright smile. “What do you say?”

I groan. “You’re not gonna give up, are you?”

They look at each other then back at me, and shake their heads at the same time like two eager puppies.

“Why me?” I ask. “I don’t understand. I mean, you’re hot enough to have any woman out there, but you’re pursuing me like…like… Argh! I don’t get it!”

“What’s not to get? We want you.”

I snort. “Sure, you do.”

“We do.”

I close my eyes and fight the urge to bang my head against the door.

Available for pre-order!

- A Thin Line will be published on 16 July and is already available for pre-order on eXcessica's website. It's the first book in my new Curve Happy series and I can't wait to see what people think of it.

- Triad is a threesomes anthology (yum!), including my story I Am Nobody's, and will be published on 9 July!

Considering that Man Frame is still selling, and selling well, this year is definitely turning out to be a good one :)
